STUDIO CITY, CALIF. — Tony Hale of the Emmy-award winning series Arrested Development, and HBO’s Veep, will keynote the 20th annual Biola Media Conference (BMC) held at CBS Studios on May 2, 2015. The BMC, hosted by Biola University, is the largest faith-based conference for those working in the entertainment industry, annually drawing more than 600 attendees including major Hollywood directors and producers.

The conference, titled “Opening Frame: Moving Forward by Remembering Why You Started,” will focus on the significance for industry professionals to reconnect with their passion for film and why they started in the industry.

Hale recently published his first children’s book, which resonates with this year’s conference theme. Hale’s book, Archibald’s Next Big Thing, follows a young chicken named Archibald who is always looking for his next “big thing” instead of realizing all the big and beautiful things that are around him.

“When in Hollywood, it is easy to get caught up in the success of others,” said Jack Hafer, director of the conference. “The focus of the conference is on going back to the beginning and embracing whatever first sparked your love for the industry.”

In 2013, Hale received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in HBO’s Veep. He is also well known for his star role in the Emmy-award winning show Arrested Development and has appeared in such films as Stranger than Fiction and Because I Said So, as well as in the shows Law & Order: SVU and Chuck.

Known for its intimate and practical conversations with Hollywood leaders, the Biola media Conference offers professional training and instruction from some of the most influential individuals in film, television, public relations, media marketing, management and digital media.

The conference will take place May 2, 2015 at the CBS Studio Center. The general entry fee is $150 for general admission and $75 for students. Lunch and coffee bar provided. Limited press passes are available.
