I’M BACK…

Hello, everyone. My name is Maxwell Klaiber, but you can call me Max. I am a returning Junior (or Senior, unsure with my credits) Communication Studies major. In this post, I would love to just open up a little bit about myself, who I am, who I wish to be, yada yada yada. You get the picture. I just want you guys to get to know me is all!

First things first, I am very sarcastic if, of course, you couldn't already tell. While I am very passionate for deep meaningful conversation and discussion, I am also a big propionate of cracking a joke amidst any situation. I apologize in advance. I will love to give whomever may read this a surfaced sneak peek into the life of Maxwell Hughes Klaiber. Yes, Hughes is my middle name and it is also my father’s. Is this proof I am the favorite child? I’d like to think so.

I am 50% Irish with a little bit of Italian and German and others thrown into the mix. I love sports, all of them, but a mainly basketball, football and baseball. I'm recently getting into hockey. Pretty cool game I have to say. It helps my roommate is an avid Colorado Avalanches fan. Anyway, I played the three sports previously mentioned from about second grade all the way through high school. I loved it. While sports weren't my passion, it was a pivotal event that happened in my youth that molded me into the competitive, determined, and team player I think I am today. If you ever want to talk sports with me, my favorite teams are the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers. I have been a fan for quite some time so no emails about being a bandwagon… And yes, I am waiting for us to win another ring in basketball. What is this now, three? Four? I lost count.

I am a freckle-faced ginger that grew up in Redding, California. For those wondering, yes, Bethel church is from there. It is the first biggest stop coming down from Oregon and going up from Sacramento. The picture below is but a snapshot of the beauty of Redding. Though I was not appreciative of this beauty until my late teens, I admire it every chance I get to go home, despite the 115 degrees’ summer weather (gross I know).. I love La Mirada and LA and I truly do plan, and have already, made this plan my new home. Redding will always be there, but I am definitely a city slicker.

A quick little bit about my family before I dive a bit deeper into myself. I have a father and mother who live back home, grandparents on my mother's side as neighbors, a little brother and an older brother.

I am the middle child…

AND PROUD.

My younger brother is a Senior in high school taking classes at his local Junior College. Proud older brother. He just turned eighteen, too! My older brother is a former Marine, as he just finished his five-year contract. He is a part of an air traffic control unit so he helps land plans as well as keeps them on course. He would be one of the guys in those tall towers at airports. My older brother is twenty-four years old and is enjoying time home from the military before going back to work. Oh, and I am twenty! You can do the math, if you so choose. My mom is a marriage and therapist counselor at Simpson University and my dad teaches special education at my former high school. If you're actually more curious to know about my dorky family, I am always down for more conversation!

Lastly, as I had mentioned I am a Communications Studies major that hopes to be a part of the film industry. I hope to use my major to become well-rounded to prepare myself for the industry. After Biola, I hope to work within the industry starting by making music videos and commercials. I love them and I have started to do so, but you know, anything can happen. Whatever the Lord has in store for me, of course. I love long walks on the beach and... just kidding. Sorry, I started to feel like I was writing a bit for a dating profile.

Anyway, I love movies, talking movies, seeing movies, anything movies really. I am a personal person and that is my love language. I am an open book that wants nothing more than discussion and to listen to different viewpoints. I apologize, I tend to ramble.

My email is: max.h.klaiber@biola.edu

Email whenever if you have questions about life, school, anything! I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

That's a little bit about me. No need to think I'm cool or anything. I know. Here's a recent picture of me from a recent film shoot. This actually makes me look cooler than I really am. Enjoy.
