Spring 2016 Orientation and Registration

Classes Begin Wednesday, August 26, 2015!
Please review the following important information:

Academic advising 
Academic Advising for Spring 2016 registration for the M.A. in Christian Apologetics, will take place individually, by arrangement, with the designated academic advisor either via telephone, E-Mail or in-office appointment.  Please call (562) 906-4570 and ask for the following advisors:

  • Last names beginning with A-K = Laura Walton (laura.walton@biola.edu)
  • Last names beginning with L-Z = Megan Stricklin (megan.stricklin@biola.edu)                                         

Early Registration (class selection Phase I)
Early registration for new graduate students who have been validated is May 11 – June 25. To be eligible you must be accepted, have paid your enrollment deposit and not have any BA or BS transcripts due (final undergrad degree posted).
Enrollment (formerly called Registration or Phase II)
Enrollment for new and readmit graduate students continues from Monday, July 6 at 9:00 am - Monday, August 17 at 4:00 pm. To avoid a late enrollment fee all steps including down payment must be completed by the deadline (Please note: if you choose to use the down payment method you MUST also sign up for a payment plan at the same time). Late enrollment begins Tuesday, August 18 with a fee of $200. Classes will be dropped on Tuesday August 24, 2015, if all enrollment steps are not complete.

Online enrollment information, including links to the class schedule and curriculum charts, can be found at my.biola.edu. New students will receive their login credentials (Biola Student ID number and NET ID’s/passwords the day after you are accepted - new students click on “First time logging in."

Enrollment Deposit

All accepted students must submit an enrollment deposit of $100, unless otherwise indicated in your acceptance letter/notice to approved applicants. International students are required to submit a total of $2,000 USD in order to issue an I-20. The deposit allows the admissions office to transfer electronic data to other offices on campus, so please submit the deposit as soon as possible upon acceptance. The deposit is not a fee. The funds stay on your account until you graduate or leave the university. At that time it will be refunded or credited toward your school bill. However, if you do not attend after submitting your deposit, the $100 is non-refundable. The deposit can be paid by debit/credit card at my.biola.edu - student financial tab; we also accept cash, check, money order or wire.

Those who do not submit the deposit before the start of online enrollment may experience a significant delay in registration.

To assist you as you consider tuition payments, please familiarize yourself with the information regarding finances and payments in the Catalog in the General Information section.

The Financial Aid office is best able to help you after you have applied for aid. If you have not already done so, it's best to apply immediately (domestic students only). International students apply for financial aid by petitioning the International Admissions Counselor. Details are on their website. Please note: Aid award on the financial aid insert is an estimate only. Please check with the Financial Aid office for the exact amount of your award.

International Student Orientation
International Student Orientation is held in the fall only and is mandatory for all on campus international students (the exception is for distance, modular or Doctor of Ministry students). Additional information regarding orientation will be sent electronically by Global Student Programs & Development.
