Mark Medina was born and raised in Southern California in the small city of Apple Valley, about two hours northeast of Los Angeles. He came to Biola first as a student and received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies. At Biola, he developed a heart for theology, the gospel and the local church. Mark currently serves with his wife at Imago Dei Church in Downey, California where they seek to be a part of what God is doing in Southeast Los Angeles.
Currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Talbot Theological Seminary, Mark is well aware of the struggle of balancing family, ministry, work and education. He joined the Student Success team because of a passion to help students not only attend university, but thrive, be transformed and be equipped to help the gospel go forth. His hope is to be a help in facilitating passionate student engagement with God's Word.
His interests include: basketball, reading dead theologians and coffee. A fun fact about Mark is that he has a deep, emotional attachment to the Los Angeles Lakers.
