What I Do

Jen Fanning is a student development practitioner and board certified educational advocate, serving Biola as director of the LC. She is a member of the wellness team and teaches a variety of university classes focused on building skills in balanced living and academic excellence. She provides ADA case management, advocacy and counseling to all grad and undergraduate students with diagnosed medical, psychological, learning or physical conditions to ensure legal compliance with state and federal disability law. She has over 15 years experience in this area. She cares deeply for her students, and holds a special place in her heart for veterans. Her husband served for 7 years with two tours to Iraq and was honorably discharged in 2011. Jen also works with hospital patients and students alongside her Great Dane Huxley, a certified therapy dog, bringing comfort and joy during difficult times.
