Associate Professor of Psychology
Dr. Brunt's research includes various topics across developmental psychology, including language, identity, and culture. A recent project includes measuring gaze patterns as people observe photojournalistic images. The project includes data collection in Indonesia, Haiti, Texas, and Southern California, as an investigation into whether culture and geographic history are related to how people examine photographs of interest. Dr. Brunt is a big fan of the statistical programming language R, and teaches graduate and undergraduate Psychology courses in development, statistics, and methodology.
