Biography

Dr. Gerald Fisher is an Professor in Biola University’s Cinema and Media Arts department. Dr. Fisher has over 25 years of experience in media as a faculty member, interim department chair, production company owner, and manager of media technology infrastructure.

In 2010, Gerry Fisher represented the Biola Cinema and Media Arts department at the annual Broadcast Educators Association in Las Vegas, Nevada, presenting twice in Paradigm Shifts of Smart Phones in Media Education and Technology Infrastructure of Social Media Networks and also served as a judge in assessing faculty research papers. Gerry also serves BEA as Secretary of Interactive Media in the Emerging Technologies Interest Division.

While teaching a variety of CMA classes over the years, Dr. Fisher specializes in integrated media production classes, new technology and communication research. He is a graduate of Taylor University, Fort Wayne (B.S.), Regent University (M.A.), and University of California, Irvine (Ph.D.).

Dr. Fisher and his wife, Ellie, live in Irvine, California, have five children, two son-in-law’s and three treasured grandchildren.
