Hailing from Malaysia, Chin is deeply involved in studies that increase access to care for diverse populations. More specifically, he is interested in help-seeking trajectories for mental health problems, trauma/burnout symptoms, as well as instrument development initiatives (psychometrics). As a researcher, educator, clinician, and consultant, Chin enjoys meeting people from diverse backgrounds and expertise in the academic, clinical, and church communities. Prior to moving to California, Chin co-led the music ministry and taught exegesis and hermeneutics in a church plant called the International Christian Fellowship. In addition, he served as governing board member for Community Counseling Center and the Church Planting Center of Southeast Missouri. He was also a data analytics consultant for Happy the App and licensed clinical psychologist at the Hancock Center.
