What I Do

Music Bio:
Chuck Koontz is a proud Los Angeles native. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from Biola University (where he now teaches tuba) and is a regular member of Brass Pacifica. He has had the privilege to perform and record with many great artists and ensembles including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, John Williams, Gustavo Dudamel, Michael W. Smith, and Michael Jackson. Chuck is married to Faith and they have three sons, Peter, Caleb and Joel. The Koontz family lives in La Habra and they are active members at Grace Evangelical Free Church.

What I do for the Library:
I manage the Library Special Collections as well as the University Archives. I'm also the librarian connected to our academic programs for Fine Arts, Communication, and Cinema. And I manage systems related to digital collections and library automation.
