We're glad you'll be on-campus for the M.A. Christian Apologetics and M.A. Science & Religion Summer Residency this year! Please choose from one of the following options to reserve your transportation to and from Biola's beautiful campus in La Mirada, CA.
2012 Summer Residency Information

To and From Airports:

I am flying into and out of LAX on June 17 and/or July 1 and would like to reserve my spot on the official shuttle between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm!

We will contact you with the exact time and pickup location of your shuttle and contact info for your driver, as some times may be modified depending on actual flight times.

In choosing your return shuttle, please check with your carrier for recommended check in times for your flight. Remember to give yourself adequate time to check your baggage and move through security. Drive time should be no longer than one hour.




What if my flight doesn't allow me to catch one of the shuttles listed above?

If your flight is arriving or departing on dates other than June 17th or July 1st or you are going through Long Beach Airport (LGB) or John Wayne Airport (SNA) we will also be offering shuttle service on an as needed basis.

Local Rides

In response to popular demand in past years, we are now offering local rides for students and their traveling companions without cars who would like to go to the store, pharmacy, or run other local errands.

On class days, ride services will be available starting one hour before the first session starts until one hour after the last session ends. Local Ride services will be available from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM on non-class days, if applicable. Note: they will not be available on June 17 or July 1. Students are not permitted to miss class for a ride (or for any reason).

To request a ride, call the Apologetics office at (562) 906-4570 and speak to (or leave a message for) the ride coordinator. Ride coordination will open on June 18. Rides will cost $14 per hour (for up to three people per vehicle) and will be charged at the top of the hour, just like a taxi. The time will start when you get in and stop when you have returned to Biola. Rides will be paid for at the end of the ride to the driver (cash, check, and credit card accepted). Service will be bound by certain distance limitations. The ride coordinator will use their discretion to determine eligibility of the requested ride.


Student Parking Permit

$10 per week: option to buy 1 week (7 days or less) or 2 weeks (full residency period)
PARKING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES FOR EVERY VEHICLE PARKED ON BIOLA PROPERTY. This includes all students, staff/faculty, and visitors even if the vehicle is only being driven temporarily. If you do not have a permit displayed you will receive a citation and the citation charge will be billed to your student account. Refer to the Campus Safety Handbook and FAQ for further information.

Residency students may purchase temporary student permits for $10 per week from this site or when you arrive on campus. Purchased permits will be available for pick up in your welcome packet at Conference Services. Permits are not required for street parking near the off-campus apartments or on Biola Ave.
