S.W.A.T. Spiritual Warfare & Apologetics Training
Apologetics Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico
Today the church is under attack. This attack is not just from those who do not believe as we do, but it is also a spiritual war. The Bible admonishes us to fight both the spiritual battles and the intellectual ones. Have you ever felt guilty for wondering if what the Bible says is really true? Have you ever thought that maybe secular science has made the Bible obsolete? The S.W.A.T Seminar is all about helping equip Christians with the information and facts that they need to make a reasoned defense for the faith that we have. The Seminar is also good to bring your skeptical friends to and help them to see that Christianity really does have answers. The S.W.A.T. Seminar is a ministry of X Factor Christian Fellowship. Apologetics are a key part of both the outreach and discipleship of our church. If you would like to find out more information about X Factor, please visit our website or call us.

C. S. Lewis Weekend Seminar
with Jerry Root, Ph.D.
On Campus, Biola University
C. S. Lewis was, arguably, one of the most influential Christian thinkers of the last century. This course is designed to acquaint the student with his thought and work in order to encourage the student's own growing understanding of Christian thought and its wide ranging applications. The course will outline Lewis's pilgrimage to faith providing the student with material to understand and process his or her own faith development. The course will also provide the student with many answers Lewis found for the challenging questions that perennially emerge in each generation. Lewis's answers will buttress the students' apologetic approach to these questions.

BROADCAST of Do the Right Thing Event
with Chuck Colson, Scott Rae, John Stonestreet, Frank Pastore, & Sean McDowell

Join Chuck Colson and a panel of leading ethicists, CEOs, economists, legal minds and scholars as they examine the recent financial and economic crises, cultural shifts in attitudes towards marriage and family, human and civil rights, life and death and what it means to be human, and basic principles of right and wrong. How do we learn to retrain our minds and restrain our will and start doing the right thing?
Doing the Right Thing is an exploration of ethics, and the Colson Center has a DVD curriculum suitable for small group or classroom study. Panelists and guests at this event will examine and discuss questions such as:
- How did we get into this mess?
- Is there truth or a moral law that we can all know?
- If we know what is right, can we do it?
- What does it mean to be human, and why does it matter?
- How do we rebuild and apply ethics and morality in the marketplace and public life?
Wrestle with these questions in live, interactive sessions with Chuck Colson and Doing the Right Thing panelists, guest speakers and other scholars and ethicists as part of the Doing the Right Thing Tour, beginning at Biola University on Saturday, February 5, 2011.

Thoughtful Evangelism in our Skeptical Age
Apologetics on the Front Lines of Gospel Proclamation
with Lee Strobel, Mark Mittelberg, and Craig Hazen
Click Here for more details & to register now!
Supercharge your evangelism!
Over the last thirty years there has been a measurable decline in the effectiveness of the basic evangelistic message. Unbelievers today are better prepared with what they think are real objections to the Gospel. Hence the simple saving message is more easily deflected by those who desperately need it.
Lee Strobel, Mark Mittelberg, Erik Thoennes, and Craig Hazen will be teaching about a powerful synthesis between evangelism and apologetics that can make our Gospel preaching, in St. Paul's words, "powerful through God" (2 Cor 10:4).

A panel discussion with follow the screening featuring Lad Allen, Jonathan Wells, and David Berlinski.

"Signature In The Cell" Event:
Stephen Meyer Faces His Critics
Free copy of the new DVD Darwin’s Dilemma for each family in attendance!
Dr. Stephen Meyer has written a book that is shaking the evolutionary establishment like “Darwin’s Black Box” and “Evolution: A Theory in Crisis” did in previous decades. Meyer has assembled a set of ideas based on the latest research on living cells that must be answered if traditional Darwinism is to survive. So we have assembled a powerful group of credentialed critics of Meyer’s “Intelligent Design” position to let him have it with both barrels. No hiding in dark libraries or murky laboratories—if Meyer has the goods, he needs to debate his toughest critics face to face! In addition, we will be screening some clips of the latest Illustra Media DVD titled “Darwin’s Dilemma” and providing free copies to each family who attends.

Ethics at the Edge of Life:
Clear Christian Thinking on the Most Troubling Bio-Ethical Issues
Weekend Seminar with Scott Rae, Ph.D. and Scott Klusendorf, M.A.
View the Class Recordings on iTunesU: Click Here
Advances in medical procedures, technologies, and drugs have made issues of life and death more and more complicated. As Christians, because we care deeply about life and death issues, we are often tagged as people who are standing against progress and the relief of suffering. Hence, we need help from experts to understand what is really going on in modern medicine and how to make a persuasive case in the public square for the Biblical views. We are bringing in two world-class Christian experts on bioethics, Dr. Scott Rae and Scott Klusendorf, to help us understand and defend the biblical position on the most difficult subjects: abortion, euthanasia, reproductive technology, and more.
