"I can't find the Toolbox"
"I can't login to my Toolbox" or "The username or password is incorrect"
Please check that your username is correct. It is important that you are using your BYA issued Gmail account. Please check that your password is correct (the Toolbox password should match your Gmail password). Also check to make sure your "caps lock" is not on. If you are still unable to login, contact BYA Technical Support to obtain a new password.
"You are currently not registered for this term."
Classes that do not receive Toolbox access include: Star Academics Classes.
"I'm getting a Dot Defender warning"
The Dot Defender warning is a rare but known issue with some home computers' communication with our servers. Typically the Dot Defender warning is caused by anti-virus or anti-spyware, home firewalls, outdated web browsers, and/or parental web filter applications on your home computer not properly allowing communication with our servers. One work-around when getting the Dot Defender warning is to use a different computer and/or a different web browser entirely. In some cases temporarily disabling your anti-virus, firewall, or parent web filters will stop the Dot Defender warning.
If you have tried the above suggestions and are still receiving the Dot Defender warning please contact Technical Support to arrange an alternative method for submitting your course work.

Dot Defender is our web application firewall protection software installed on Biola's servers to protect against unauthorized intrusion of our secure network. It occasionally assumes your home computer is a threat when you have a firewall or other anti-virus software installed. We still do not know the root cause for this warning. Thanks for your understanding and patience if you are experiencing this rare but known issue.
