Premier Eagle Club Scholarship

This scholarship was established for the Fall 2024 recruiting cycle to encourage students to complete a Biola application early. This scholarship is one of the Premier Eagle Club benefits.

Scholarship Details

  • Name: Premier Eagle Club Scholarship

  • Eligibility
    • Fully complete a Biola application file (ready to review) by November 30, 2023.

    • Eligible Student Types: freshman, transfers, and freshman transfers (readmits, post-bachelors, and second bachelors are not eligible)

  • Amount: $500 to be split equally between FA24 and SP25

  • Equity fund: No, which means it is stackable on other Biola aid.

  • Enrollment level: Recipient must be at least half time.

  • Proration: The scholarship will be paid at 100% providing the student is enrolled at least half time.

  • Fund type: The scholarship can cover any direct institutional charges

  • Refundable: The scholarship is not refundable in the event the student has enough other institutional gift aid to cover all institutional charges.

  • Enrollment Term: Students must enroll in the Fall 2024 term to be eligible. Note that exceptions may be made if there is an extenuating circumstance such as health issues, death in the family, etc.

  • Account: General financial aid budget

  • Renewable: The scholarship is a one-time, non-renewable scholarship.

  • Students must complete their Biola admission application file by 11/30/23

  • Tuition Waiver Students are not eligible

  • International students are eligible

  • Financial aid will automatically package this scholarship for students admitted by the deadline


Terms & Conditions

  1. The scholarship is limited to one year/two semesters of enrollment and will be paid out equally in the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.

  2. The student must remain continuously enrolled. Eligibility for the scholarship will terminate if a recipient withdraws for any reason, including illness or academic probation.

  3. The student must be enrolled at least half time for each term to be eligible.

  4. If a student postpones enrollment to a future academic term, they will not be eligible for the scholarship.
    1. Note that if a student postpones to Spring 2025, they will be allowed to have the spring portion only.

  5. Other institutional aid will typically not reduce this scholarship unless the scholarship results in gift aid in excess of the student’s cost of attendance.

  6. External aid such as private scholarships or Cal Grant will typically not reduce this scholarship unless the scholarship reduces eligibility for the external aid or if the scholarship results in gift aid in excess of the student’s cost of attendance. However, the scholarship must be coordinated with other state and federal financial aid and may impact eligibility based on their rules.

  7. The recipient must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards to maintain eligibility for the scholarship. The recipient must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA to maintain eligibility.

  8. The scholarship is not transferable.

  9. The scholarship is only applicable to freshman, transfers, and freshman transfers (readmits, post-bachelors, and second bachelors are not eligible)

  10. The scholarship cannot be used to cover the cost of study abroad programs including Biola-led programs.

  11. Students who are using the Tuition Waiver program are not eligible for this scholarship. If the scholarship is awarded before tuition waiver is added to a student’s financial aid package, the Premier Eagle Club Scholarship will be removed.

  12. The scholarship is not refundable in the event the student has enough other institutional gift aid to cover all institutional charges.

  13. The scholarship will typically be added to a student’s financial aid package within a week of acceptance to Biola.
