Benevolent Fund

Through the generosity of Biola parents, the Parent Benevolent Fund provides compassionate assistance to students in emergency situations.

Emily's Story

With 4,600 undergraduate students attending Biola, it’s not uncommon that at any given time a student will be experiencing illness and even death within his or her immediate family. For Emily*, her father’s unexpected illness had her driving back and forth between campus and UCLA Medical Center for six weeks leading up to his passing. While no amount of money could ease the pain that Emily experienced during this time, assistance from the Parent Benevolent Fund to help pay for the gas she needed to get to and from the hospital lessened the financial burden she was incurring.

The Parent Benevolent Fund exists to provide compassionate assistance to students like Emily. Through the generous donations of parents and friends, undergraduate students in crisis can receive financial support for one-time needs. Your donation to the Parent Benevolent Fund is tax-deductible and can be made anytime. (Please note that gifts given to a specific student are not eligible for a tax-deduction and cannot be given through the Parent Benevolent Fund.)

Thank you for your compassionate gift.
