The Biola University Conservatory of Music is a community of artist-teachers and gifted young musicians striving for the highest artistic achievement to the glory of God.
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Music in Music Performance, students will be able to:
Apply historical and theoretical understanding to the analysis of musical forms, processes, structures and masterpieces from the western art music tradition.
Describe how they intend to integrate their faith in their anticipated future professional activities.
Demonstrate basic musicianship skills in sight-singing, dictation, conducting, voice and piano.
Apply their stylistic, theoretical, interpretive and technical skills and understanding to create and perform personal, communicative performances on their primary instrument.
Demonstrate a knowledge of the important composers and their works on their instrument.
Demonstrate an understanding of different teaching approaches in their area (voice, piano, or instrumental).
Demonstrate performance mastery on their instrument to the highest possible level given their talents and age.

An Assessment Plan is a listing of the student work that will be used to assess achievement of each learning outcome.
An Assessment Schedule is a 5-year schedule that indicates when each of the PLOs will be assessed and when the comprehensive Program Review will occur.
