B.S. in Environmental Science
The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science is to nurture passionate leaders within the evangelical community that will impact the world for Christ, working to restore all aspects of God's creation, by combining scientific and theological knowledge with practical field, lab and teaching skills to create just and sustainable solutions for environmental issues.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, students will be able to:
Integrate science and faith to evaluate major environmental issues and develop just and sustainable solutions.
Demonstrate field, lab, evaluation and presentation skills needed to conduct environmental research.
Integrate science and faith with teaching skills to motivate people to care for people and the rest of God’s creation.
A Curriculum Map shows which courses in a degree program are responsible to intentionally develop each PLO at the Introductory, Developing, and Mastery levels.
An Assessment Plan is a listing of the student work that will be used to assess achievement of each learning outcome.
An Assessment Schedule is a 5-year schedule that indicates when each of the PLOs will be assessed and when the comprehensive Program Review will occur.
