Switzerland Tour and the Oberammergau Passion Play

Biola Alumni Relations invites you to join a stunning tour of Switzerland that culminates in a unique opportunity to see the famed Oberammergau Passion Play in Germany, a reenactment that takes place once every 10 years since 1634. The Oberammergau Passion Play takes place in an open-air theater and remains a local production with villagers who depict the trial, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus.

In addition to seeing this historic drama, you will experience Switzerland’s natural and magnificent beauty with overnight stays in Zurich, Geneva, the Gruyéres, the Interlaken area and Lucerne. Take in breathtaking panoramas of the Alps, gorgeous views of the lakes, and stroll through the St. Pierre Cathedral, a vineyard near the “Swiss Riviera,” the Maisson Cailler chocolate factory, a castle and the famous spa town of Évian-les-Bains, renowned for its mineral water and popular holiday resort.
