The Teaching Professor

The Biola Library provides a subscription to The Teaching Professor. This newsletter provides helpful articles for teaching and learning in higher education. Below are some article categories that the Teaching Professor provides:

The Digital Commons @ Biola

The repository is a service of the Biola University library. Research and scholarly output included here has been selected and deposited by the individual university departments and centers on campus. There is a wide selection of research collected in print, audio, and visual format from members of the Biola community spanning 1908 to the present.

Accessibility

The accessibility initiative at Biola exists to enable Biola community members to provide the best educational and workplace experience for all students, faculty and staff. For resources, tip sheets and information on making an appointment with our Universal Access Manager, visit the Accessibility Resources page on My Biola.

IDEA

IDEA (Individual Development and Educational Assessment) is the instrument used at Biola by students to provide feedback on teaching and learning based on their direct course experience. Students complete the anonymous surveys at the end of each term. In addition to the student ratings of instruction, the IDEA center provides resources such as the IDEA Paper Series and the IDEA Research Digest. For information on getting started, how the surveys are administered and other resources, please visit our internal IDEA website.

Google Scholars

Google Scholar is a freely accessible web search engine that indexes the full text or metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines.
