Student Development
Student Development has a number of departments and staff to support the various needs of students ranging from Residence Life and SOS, Spiritual Development's chapels, pastoral care, ministries and community service, Commuter Life and Global Student Services, Student Programming and leadership opportunities and Student Care, Learning Assistance, and Disability Services.
The Learning Center
The Learning Center exists to provide students with academic assistance and support by providing a number of services. Tutoring and academic mentors are available, as well as individualized ADA care plans and counsel for those diagnosed with medical, psychological, learning or physical conditions. Rhetoric and Writing Center
The mission of the Rhetoric and Writing Center is to support students, faculty and staff with their writing. Their team of peer consultants provides help with any writing assignments, research reports, graduate theses, conference presentations and conversational English. They provide feedback for writing projects at any stage—from outlines and early drafts to revisions and final edits—in a friendly, supportive environment, both face-to-face and online.
Biola Counseling Center
The Biola Counseling Center is located in the Biola Professional Building at the corner of La Mirada Blvd. and Imperial Hwy. You can view all of their services online or contact them directly at (562) 903-4800.
Career Development
Career Development offers many services to students including job searching, help with resumes and cover letters, career advising, teaching interviewing and network skills and more. You can visit their website for a full list of services, upcoming events and resources for faculty.
