Hello Business Students!

The Crowell School of Business and the Biola Career Center are hosting three career readiness workshops this Fall 2020. Each workshop is designed to help you develop or enhance your professional image and profile as you prepare for the future workforce.


Networking Workshop

Date: Wednesday, September 16
Time: 6:30–8 p.m.
Speaker: John Drebinger, Strategy and Human Centered Design Consultant
Location: Online

In this workshop, students will be able to identify networking strategies to make connections that will enhance their professional development and professional experiences. They will learn how to professionally introduce themselves to alumni, employers, and potential professional mentors and conduct an informational interview.

Interview Workshop

Date: Thursday, September 17
Time: 6:30–8 p.m.
Speaker: Chip Peck, Talent Acquisition Professional, Innocean USA
Location: Online

In this workshop, students will learn how to construct answers to interview questions that showcase their personal strengths and are communicated in a concise and clear manner. Also, they will learn Identify best practices (professional etiquette) for different interview formats. Our speaker will share what employers look for in candidates and how to match your skills and experiences to internship/job descriptions.

Internship Search Workshop

Date: Tuesday, September 29

Time: 12–1:20 p.m.

Speaker: Grace Kim, Talent Acquisition Partner, North America, Liferay

Location: Online

In this workshop workshop, students will be able to identify key search strategies to find internships (networking and online search engines). They will begin self reflection to identify types of internships they may consider pursuing. Our speaker will share an organizational system for tracking their internship search.
