Our hope is that these movie nights be an opportunity to both enjoy time together as the larger Torrey Academy community, and to practice together how to encounter culture and media with courage and intentionality.

Through Ove’s story, we will venture to wonder through what to do when all ways seem dark – when family is gone, the neighborhood has faded, and it seems we are alone in the world. In ways both serious and hilarious, this grumpy old man will help us consider our own experiences of family, civic responsibility, death, and what it means to be a good neighbor.

This film is rated PG 13 “for thematic content, some disturbing images, and language.”
