Atonement refers to the forgiving or pardoning of sin in general and original sin in particular through the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus, enabling the reconciliation between God and his creation. Dr. William Lane Craig, one of today's leading Christian Philosophers has done extensive research on this critical issue.
Traditional atonement theories are many times rejected not only by liberal theologians but also by secularists, Muslims and even many evangelicals. A fresh examination of the biblical data concerning the atonement, the dogmatic history of the doctrine of the atonement, and philosophical reflection on the doctrine of the atonement is long overdue. Join us as we dive into the truth.
