Our world, now more than ever, calls for broadened depictions of underrepresented groups. To raise awareness and dialogue on the visual representation of biblical narratives and race, and its impact in society at large, the Others Imagining Initiative (OII) has organized this juried exhibition of artwork by undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in art programs throughout California, promoting greater inclusion and understanding through art that refigures dominant biblical characters and tropes by representing people of color.

Featuring artwork by: Austin Bland, Brooke Boring, Dawn Ford, Daniel Hall, Joyce Lin, Christine Lee Smith, Eric Tai, Sage Theule, Anneka Weinert, and Sherry Xiao.

Also on view, artwork by exhibition jurors: Bryan Chung, Maria Fee, Nery Gabriel Lemus, and Jonathan Puls.
