One of Tennessee Williams’ most renowned dramas, The Glass Menagerie tells the story of the struggling and broken Wingfield family in 1930s St. Louis as they long for meaning and significance. Menagerie is a memory play told from the perspective of Tom Wingfield, who is forced to take care of his crippled sister and overbearing mother after Mr. Wingfield abandoned the family years earlier.
