An investigation and analysis of archaeology relevant to the Bible, from the time of the Patriarchs through the early Church. While utilizing material from ancient texts, artifacts and archaeological sites related to people, places and events in the Bible, attendees will also receive information on archaeological methodology and material culture of the ancient world. The goal of this lecture is to familiarize you with the archaeology of the ancient Near East, Egypt and Mediterranean regions, and to examine data which illuminates and corroborates related Biblical texts.
