Speakers
David Wang
David Wang, assistant professor at the Rosemead School of Psychology, is a pastor (of a church plant in Fullerton), licensed psychologist, husband to Vivian Lee Wang (alumni of the Biola MA TESOL program), and father of two girls (Lydia and Sydney). He has degrees in computer science and social welfare from UC Berkeley, a Th.M. in spiritual theology from Regent College, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston. He teaches, writes, and conducts theoretical and empirical research on trauma and the impact of trauma on spirituality, along with various topics related to virtue development and spiritual formation. He is also associate editor of the Journal of Psychology and Theology.
Lisa Ishihara
Lisa Ishihara has served as the Director of Chapel Programs at Biola University since 2008. She oversees Biola's undergraduate morning chapels, AfterDark chapels, the Torrey Memorial Bible Conference and their respective student leadership teams and interns. She graduated from CSUF with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and received her M.Div. in 2008 and her Masters in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology in 2016. Lisa is a member of the Free Methodist Church and loves her multi-generational local church. Prior to campus ministry she worked in the local church for 10 years and was Executive Team Leader for Target Corporation. In her free time, she enjoys sharing a good meal with friends and family, watching movies and traveling to beautiful places.
Ben Shin
Benjamin C. Shin has served in ministry as a pastor, parachurch leader, and professor for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of UCLA, Talbot School of Theology, and Dallas Theological Seminary. He enjoys reading, music, sports (especially the UCLA Bruins), and spending time with people. His vision and passion includes mentoring leaders, re-building churches, and teaching the Word of God. He is married to his bride, Jen and has 2 wonderful boys named Adam and Zachary. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Bible Exposition and Director of the Asian-American Ministry track for the Doctor of Ministry at Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, CA
Christina Lee-Kim
Dr. Kim is a licensed clinical psychologist and assistant professor at Biola University. She teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate psychology department and supervises doctoral research at Rosemead School of Psychology. Her research interests include multiculturalism and gender issues, racial and cultural identity formation, Asian-American psychology, and the use of qualitative research methods. Dr. Kim and her husband live with their 3 daughters in Fullerton, CA. Her family attends and is very involved at CrossWay Church in Santa Ana where Dr. Kim is one of the regular worship leaders. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, eating chicken wings (Wingstop's Louisiana Rub is her favorite!), going to Disneyland, and watching the latest K-dramas.
