Exodus 33 is a passage where Moses chooses The Lord's presence above everything else. Moses choice to honor The Lord results in an intimate moment between him and God. It says they speak face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. SMU is hoping that the message inspires people to seek The Lord's face like never before.

Speakers

David Menard

David Menard is the lead pastor of The Mission Church. The church began in 2011, as David was called to reach people with the love of Jesus right here in Encinitas and north county. After 17 years of pastoral ministry experience at two large churches, The Mission Church began as a small Bible study of 12 people that met inside the living room of David & Lisa’s home. The church began to quickly grow.  Today, The Mission Church is a young, healthy, thriving church that continues to grow and bear fruit by Jesus’ grace and provision.

David loves seeing people transform by the power of Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word. His passion is to equip people to fully embrace the calling that Jesus has placed upon their life.  He encourages everyone to live their life “on a mission,” serving Jesus daily as His disciple to those around them on their own “mission fields” at home, in the neighborhood, at work, school and in the community at large. Jesus called us to a life of great purpose! It is the most rewarding way to live.

David has been married to his beautiful wife, Lisa, for over 28 years.  They have 4 young adult children, 3 of whom actively serve Jesus in ministry at The Mission Church.
