Where we hear from speakers whose specializations and experience bring us biblically-based wisdom for Christian engagement in spiritual formation, arts and culture, missions and evangelism, justice, relationships, reconciliation and other arenas where we pray, “Thy Kingdom Come.”

Speakers

Tamara Anderson

Dr. Anderson has a broad interest in the field of clinical psychology. She teaches psychopathology and ethics and law and is especially interested in the training of professional psychologists. Dr. Anderson's research interests focus on gender issues, attachment, ethics and law, and conflict resolution, in addition to previous work in the area of eating disorders. She also has extensive experience in providing workshops on topics required for licensure in various mental health and related professions. In addition to her teaching duties, Dr. Anderson is the Associate Dean of Graduate Students and serves as the Chair of the Admissions and Academic Qualifications Committee.

Timothy Muehlhoff

Tim Muehlhoff (Ph.D., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) is a professor of communication studies at Biola University in La Mirada, California where he teaches classes in family communication, interpersonal communication and gender. Tim has authored The God Conversation: Using Stories and Illustrations to Explain Your Faith with JP Moreland, Authentic Communication: Christian Speech Engaging Culture with Todd Lewis, Marriage Forecasting: Changing the Climate of Your Relationship one Conversation at a Time, and  I Beg to Differ: Navigating Difficult Conversations with Truth and Love. He and his wife, Noreen, are frequent speakers at FamilyLife Marriage Conferences, and Tim has served with Campus Crusade since 1986. They live in Brea, California, with their three sons.

David Horner

Dr. David Horner is Professor of Philosophy and Biblical Studies at Biola University. He has taught at the University of Oxford, Denver Seminary, and served as a Visiting Scholar and Research Associate at the University of Colorado. Dr. Horner has lectured in numerous classrooms and university forums nationally and in Europe, and is the author of numerous articles and book chapters on ethics, apologetics, and ancient and medieval philosophy, as well as the book, Mind Your Faith: A Student’s Guide to Thinking and Living Well (IVP Academic, 2011). He also serves as President of The Illuminatio Project, whose aim is to bring the light of a classical biblical vision of goodness, truth, and beauty into the thinking of the church and culture through strategic research and communication. He and his wife, Debbie, have two adult daughters and one granddaughter.
