Where we let teaching from the Word pierce our hearts (Heb. 4:12) as we explore our annual theme in Scripture, which this year is “Abound" (Phil. 1:9-11).

Speakers

Todd Pickett

A native Californian, Todd has been an English professor for many years and is now Dean of Spiritual Development at Biola University. He has degrees in Classical languages and literature from Stanford University and from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, an M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Biola University, and a Ph.D. in English from the University of California (Irvine). He leads retreats, undertakes group and individual spiritual direction, preaches regularly and speaks frequently to groups on Christian spiritual formation from an evangelical perspective. He lives in Costa Mesa, CA, and is married to Dottie Cox Pickett, a marriage and family therapist.

Olivia is currently a Junior at Biola University where she is studying Sociology with an emphasis in social work and a minor in Spanish. She is currently serving as Spiritual Development's Chapel Intern and as a Core Team Member in her local church. Olivia has a passion for Latin America and has done mission work in Ecuador, The Dominican Republic, and Mexico. With her Sociology degree, Olivia plans on traveling and serving more wold-wide. Just prior to Biola, Olivia was model throughout high school and did both runway and print for stores like Nordstrom's, Charlotte Russe, Pac Sun, Macy's, Shimmer and Sun Diego.

Sarah Stricklin is a senior undergraduate student at Biola University, pursuing a B.S. in Music in Worship and a B.A. in English. In the past eight years, Sarah has served as a worship leader, camp counselor, junior high leader, youth group intern, worship intern, Resident Advisor, student conference director, and Chapel Marketing Intern. Her loves include singing, writing, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and her puppy, Nala.
