Speakers

Gary Moon

Gary W. Moon, Ph.D., is the executive director of the Martin Institute for Christianity and Culture and the Dallas Willard Center for Christian Spiritual Formation at Westmont College. He also serves as the executive director of the Renovaré International Institute for Christian Spiritual Formation and editor in chief of the journal Conversations: A Forum for Authentic Transformation. He is a licensed psychologist in Georgia and Virginia. Dr. Moon has served as an instructor at Fuller Graduate School of Theology and Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, and has been a faculty member at Erskine Theological Seminary, Regent University, and Richmont Graduate University, where he holds the rank of Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Spiritual Formation. He serves on the faculty at Westmont College and Azusa Pacific University. In addition to serving on the editorial boards of Journal of Psychology and Christianity, Journal of Psychology and Theology, and Marriage & Family: A Christian Journal, Dr. Moon co-founded (with David Benner and Larry Crabb) Conversations. His research interests concern the theoretical and practical integration of psychology and theology. He is author of Apprenticeship with Jesus (Baker, 2009), Falling for God (Shaw/RandomHouse, 2004), Spiritual Direction and the Care of Souls (IVP, 2004), Homesick for Eden (Servant, 1997), and a four-volume family devotion series called The Bible Ride (Servant and LifeSprings). Through Richmont Graduate University and LifeSprings, he has developed a DVD-based curriculum series for small groups based on the work of Curt Cloninger (God Views), Dallas Willard (Renovation of the Heart), and Richard J. Foster (Celebration of Discipline). Dr. Moon is married and has two children.
