Where we let teaching from the Word pierce our hearts (Heb. 4:12) as we explore our annual theme in Scripture, which this year is “Life Together” (2 Corinthians 7:3).

Speakers

Doretha O’Quinn

Doretha O’Quinn has spent over 34 years working as an administrator, principal and teacher in public and Christian K-12 schools and at the university in southern California. She is passionate about advancing the Christian community in concerns for diversity both nationally and internationally in every academic discipline, and returns to Biola after serving as the School of Education’s Inglewood campus director from 2003-2007.

Prior to this recent appointment, she served as Associate Dean of the School of Education of Point Loma Nazarene University for three years. Dr. O’Quinn is a contributing author of the book Our Voices, Issues Facing Black Women in America, a book addressing key issues facing black women from a biblical perspective; and Alone in Marriage, both published by Moody Press. She is a contributing editor to Women in Ministry Leadership, published by Foursquare International. She is the Author of the book Silent Voices, Powerful Messages, in which she writes about the historical influence and contribution of African-Americans to the Foursquare Gospel Movement. She is a frequent speaker at educational conferences, a member of multiple professional organizations and has served on professional boards.
