WISDOM chapels connect us to God by sharing the wisdom of Scripture as lived out by those whose work brings clarity to what it means to live in the kingdom of God. Biola University is a community of thoughtful people working in biblically-integrated disciplines who bring wisdom to biblical truths and commands from their disciplinary perspectives and experiences. Wisdom chapels focus on biblically-relevant wisdom in the areas of: Spiritual Development, Christian Living, Missions and Evangelism, Justice, Racial Reconciliation, Apologetics, and Arts and Culture.

Daniel Wallace

Dr. Wallace has been on faculty at Dallas Seminary for more than a quarter century. He is Professor of New Testament Studies and dabbles a bit in Greek grammar, textual criticism, exegesis, and biblical theology. He is also the Executive Director of the Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts (CSNTM), an institute whose initial goal is to photograph every Greek New Testament manuscript and post the images on the Internet. He has been a consultant on four Bible translations, and has authored, edited, or contributed to more than two dozen books. He and his bride of 40 years, Pati, have four adult sons, three wonderful daughters-in-law, and two awesome granddaughters (pictures available upon request). Dan and Pati live with two dogs, Pro Libertate and Anchor Porter. Dan is a fourth-generation Californian and former surf bum from Newport Beach, transplanted by divine decree (because it sure wasn’t by his free will) to Dallas, Texas in 1975. Although he’s grown to love Dallas, he says the surf is lousy.  Dan met Pati at Biola University. Twenty minutes later, they stole a car. It was love at first sight.
