Harp directs the Biola Startup Competition, which fosters kingdom-minded, Christ-honoring entrepreneurship across the Biola University community, and he teaches the Capstone Class in the Crowell School of Business’s new Master of Management, Nonprofit Organizations degree.
A lifelong entrepreneur, Harp is founder, CEO & publisher of GlobalHotelNetwork.com, a global media brand providing market insights and thought leadership to CEOs and C-suite executives in the global travel and tourism industry. He is also founder and program chair of the annual San Diego Hospitality Industry Outlook, now in its 26th year. During his business career, he has served as president of two San Diego commercial real estate associations and chairman of the Board of a coastal church plant (sponsored by one of San Diego’s largest congregations).
Harp earned a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in Communications from Wheaton College, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Workplace Theology, Ethics and Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. His D.Min. mentor at Gordon-Conwell was the late Dr. Haddon Robinson (a highly respected author, preacher and co-host of Discover the Word). Harp is the author of Faith at Work, an online curriculum published by Our Daily Bread Ministries.
Harp is involved with Catalyst for Workplace Ministry, Lausanne Movement, and is a member of the program committee for the Global Workplace Forum (hosted by the Lausanne Movement) and to be held in Manila, June 25-29, 2019.
