Donell Campbell uses her love of teaching, learning and leadership to mentor B.S.N. students from their very first nursing course through their transition to independent practice as new graduates. Her courses include: Nursing First Year Seminar, Introduction to Professional Practice, Management and Leadership in Nursing, and Community / Public Health Nursing. She serves as a Pedagogy Consultant for faculty colleagues. Her classes are infused with activity as well as discussions related to culture and diversity, case studies, application and integration activities, including current events and trends within healthcare, nursing and research to teach course content. Campbell also teaches internationally on topics related to Communication, Conflict Navigation, Team Building, Self-Care, Resilience and Burnout and has presented and published the findings from related research. Other research and study interests include: Teaching APA to Undergraduate Nursing Students. She served as the faculty Reviewer for the Concise Guide to APA style / 7th Edition, Development of Professionalism, Utilization of Peer / TA Mentors inNursing Education, Burnout Prevention, Grit & Resilience.
