Ben Nworie is a detail oriented, effective listener, skilled in teaching and counseling. He is highly committed to his student’s welfare and academic success.
Ben Nworie completed his Ph.D. in Special Education, with emphases in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders and Clinical Psychology. He has been involved in education for over 25 years with K-12 to college teaching experience. In the 1999–2000 school year he was named Teacher of the Year in Dallas, Texas because of his teaching effectiveness and contributions in the special education field.
Ben Nworie was the chief executive officer of Shiloh Counseling Services in Mesquite, Texas for nearly ten years. In this capacity, he gained experience in leadership, administrative, clinical and therapeutic skills. He has served as a Pastor in Southern California for several years.
Nworie is currently Professor of Special Education, School of Education, Biola University. He was Professor of Special Education at the School of Education, Azusa Pacific University, and served there as Director, Office of Faith Integration (2010–12). During this time, he was part of the team that led the University through a glowing reaccreditation accomplishment. He was part of the Azusa Pacific University’s Center for Research in Ethics and Values (CREV) Oxford Faculty Development Seminar held in University of Oxford, England Summer, 2012.
