Alain Datcher is a Program Manager with the Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative (LANI). Prior to working at LANI, Alain served as a Management Trainee with the City Administrative Officer of Los Angeles, working on areas of housing, community and economic development. Alongside his municipal government endeavors, he continues to serve as a consultant for government and nonprofit agencies, which have included the White House Office of Public Engagement, United States Senate, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Country of Belize. Passionate about reforming America’s child welfare system, Datcher speaks and advocates nationwide on improving the system and its outcomes for thousands of young people. He has published and been featured in numerous articles including the Los Angeles Times and Washington Post. Datcher holds a master's degree in Public Policy from Pepperdine University and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Biola University.
