Purpose of the Event

This is an exclusive event for incoming science students to take required placement exams, receive academic advising, register for classes, and get their Biola ID card on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 (choose one date).

To check which placement exams you need and how to study for the exams, please view the Academic Advising website.

For a general guide, here are the major requirements for science majors:

  • Communication Sciences & Disorders, Computer Science and Math: No Placement Exams
  • Nursing: Chemistry Placement Exam Only
  • All Other Science Majors: Chemistry and Physics Placement Exam


8:30–9 a.m.

9–9:55 a.m.
Freshman General Session and Transfer General Session

10 a.m.–Noon
Academic Advising and Registration (Non-Placement Exam Majors)

10–11:30 a.m.
Chemistry Placement Exam

11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Lunch | Get Biola ID card

12:30–2 p.m.
Academic Advising and Registration (Chemistry Placement Exam Only Majors)

12:30–2 p.m.
Physics Placement Exam

2–5 p.m.
Academic Advising and Registration (Both Placement Exam Majors)

*You may be done with the event earlier than the listed event time. Once you register for classes, you may leave the event.
