Biola University has held accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), Senior College Commission, since WASC was formed in 1962 to promote the welfare, interests, and development of education in the Western Region of the United States.

Accreditation by WASC must be periodically reaffirmed, and Biola's accreditation was last reaffirmed for a ten-year period in 1995. We are presently in the midst of another reaffirmation process, which included a campus site visit in February 2005 and a second campus site visit coming in March 2006.
