Wan Hui
On May 16, 2007, students, staff and faculty honored President Cook in his very last chapel as president. Immediately following the special service, members of the Biola community made their way to Metzger Green for a “Wan Hui,” an authentic Chinese farewell party, paying homage to the culture so dear to Dr. Cook’s heart.
Traditional Chinese décor set the tone for celebration and well-wishing.
Those who attended tried to collect all 7 versions of the personalized fortune cookies created especially for the event.
In a special surprise, entertainers from the Chinatown Center in Los Angeles performed a traditional Chinese lion dance for the guests.
President Cook smiles with excitement as he enjoys the show.
