President Clyde and Anna Belle Cook have completed a six month, 12 city, farewell tour sponsored by the alumni association and attended by a record number of alumni, Biola parents, and friends from around the world. Each chapter meeting included a campus update, a video presentation prepared especially for the events, questions and answers with the President, an opportunity for reminiscing and reflecting on 25 years of ministry, and countless testimonies from alumni and friends on how President and Mrs. Cook have served God through serving people. Our thanks go to the Cooks for attending these events and for their commitment to Biola and service to God's Kingdom.
To honor President and Mrs. Cook, letters were sent to our alumni and friends encouraging a gift of $25 to recognize the 25 years of service. The response to the mailing was incredible, as over 950 alumni gave gifts to help the Cooks establish an endowed scholarship fund to assist students seeking a Biola education. Many alumni sent in more than the $25 minimum to establish the endowed scholarship that will make a Biola education possible for worthy students for generations to come. Our thanks to those of you who gave generously and sacrificially to remember the Cooks and serve our students.
Alumni Relations
Dear Clyde,
It is a privilege and an honor to recognize your 25 years of service to Biola University. We see you as the Lord’s humble servant, under authority whom He has used to create a university where the students are trained in excellence. Most important with your leadership, each student is graduated with 30 units of Bible, and they go forth as ambassadors for Christ Jesus. We applaud you and love you.

Dear Dr. Cook,
It’s always a joy to read about you and see the happy pictures of you and your wife, Anna Belle. When I think of you, I see the loving smiling face of Dr. Cook saying something with humor and wisdom. It’s been nine years since I graduated from the joint program of ICS and the School of Business, and I can still remember the way you greeted me in Chinese on campus: “Ni Hao Ma”!

Dr. Cook,
Although I don’t think I ever met you personally or even spoke to you while at Biola, I feel I know you, at least a bit. I never thought about it before, but I am proud to know that a man of integrity was leading our school for so long. We will pray that Biola will continue to be a God-honoring institution.
Michelle
Clyde and Anna Belle:
Your service to Christ at Biola has been outstanding! You are leaving hard shoes to fill. We love you.
Rich and Diane
President Cook,
You were my Dad’s admission counselor back in the day. Through your influence on his life and his time at Biola, my two sisters, brother and I have attended Biola in recent years. Your encouraging “hellos” and strong leadership are to be commended. Now I am an admissions counselor and Biola grad, and hope to bring in many more students to impact the world for our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for your influence on Biola and my family.
Blessings, Lyndsey
Dear Clyde and Anna Belle,
The pictures with the announcement of your retirement brought back fond memories of our days at Biola in Los Angeles from 1952 to 1956. The Lord has certainly blessed your important role in its development over the years. Biola has been in good hands and we’re trusting that the next administration will be equally faithful and fruitful.
Don and Leta
Dear President Cook,
My Biola education is the gift that keeps on giving. The opportunities I had a Biola (traveling to India with a missions team and two intrepid nursing professors) and the exposures (chapel speakers, missions week, etc) have directly impacted who and where I am today. My thanks to you and all my professors for fostering my growth.
Blessings to you, Adrian
To the Cooks,
Thanking God for how He has raised up Dr. Cook to serve and praising God for Dr. Cook’s beloved bride, Anna Belle Cook, and the role model and standard she has set for each of us to follow as husbands and wives for Christ…Thank you!
Excited in His service, Chaplain Tony
