Profile

Tell us about yourself.

I'm 18 years old. I was born and raised in Kaneohe, Hawaii. I love to sing and play guitar. I like to act, dance, read, hang out with friends, eat Hawaiian food, talk on the phone, do children's ministry, and mission work.

What's a word or short phrase that best describes you?

Helping people makes me feel happy.

What are some of your goals and aspirations?

I want to be a guidance counselor or family counselor. I always wanted to travel the world and do part-time missions. My dream is to be able to work and set my own hours. I do not want to limit my abilities to Psychology. I pray that I can have a family one day and bring them up in a God-fearing and God-loving environment.

What do you do in your free time?

Lately, I have been taking a lot of naps or I go off campus with friends and hang out.

Why did you choose Biola?

I became interested in Biola through a friend who is an alum. My parents and I came to visit the campus and I loved it. Andre Stephens, the Admissions Director, helped my family out with all our questions and concerns. The students I stayed with during Spring Preview Day were so friendly. I was trying to find a God and family centered community and found it here at Biola.

Where is your favorite place to hang out?

My favorite place to hang out back home was at the mall or movie theatre. Now, I like to hang out in my friends' dorms and go shopping.

What makes you laugh?

I love to watch comedies like Abbot and Costello, the Pink Panther, etc... My friends have different types of humor and I love them all. Most of the time I have to laugh at myself.

Tell us one random childhood memory.

I was five years old and my Aunty and I drove down to KFC to get dinner. We placed our order and drove up to the window. A teenage guy handed us our order, and I looked at him from the passenger's side and pointed. "Auntie Connie, does that guy have chicken pox?" The teenage guy had a lot of zits on his face and I had just gotten over the chicken pox. I feel really sorry for that man wherever he is. Thankfully, my auntie drove away, so that I would not embarrass her or the young man anymore.
