Churches
There are numerous churches in the Biola area where students can get involved. With the size and diversity of Los Angeles and Orange counties, you can find a church size, denomination, worship style, or ministry opportunity that suit you.
Finding a Church Home
When you arrive at Biola, you may want to go "church shopping" with new friends or roommates. Some prefer the ease of attending the churches closest to Biola, while others are willing to hit the freeway and visit congregations in the greater LA / OC area.
Finding a new church is often a matter of trial and error. We encourage you to be patient and sample different churches until you find one with which you feel comfortable. Note that many churches offer different worship services according to what time you attend, and most churches will have a unique small group or college group ministry available.

"The first couple months of school I wasn't very aggressive about finding and establishing a church. It's weird, because growing up where to go to church was pretty automatic – it was just so routine.
"A few weeks before Christmas I started attending a church called "Rock Harbor." I soon felt like this was the place I was supposed to be, but I hadn't really figured out how to get involved yet.
"An admissions counselor at Biola told me she'd been going to Rock Harbor for a while and was involved in a "life group," a small group that meets as a smaller part of the Rock Harbor community. She was actually going to a life group on Biola's campus that night, and she invited me to go!
