Faculty

The faculty at Biola stand out in many ways. All 298 professors are not just experts in their respective fields, but also Bible-believing Christians. Two-thirds of the faculty have earned their doctorates, and several are acclaimed as Fulbright and National Endowment for the Humanities scholars. Collectively, the Biola faculty produce more than 100 publications each year, including books and journal articles.

More than that, Biola faculty members consistently demonstrate a personal commitment to the academic and spiritual development of students. A 17:1 student-faculty ratio allows Biola professors to personalize their instruction and mentor individual students, yielding an atmosphere of integrated education and real-world impact.

Portrait of Beau
"Although the work is intense, the professors are all very supportive of and passionate about their students. One of them even gave the entire class his home phone number and encouraged us to call him with questions about our homework."
