What I love about Biola

I love how Biola sets great Biblically founded standards and then meets them. The professors and administrators actually care about our spiritual walk and pray for us. I feel so poured into on a daily basis whether by faculty, friends, through chapel, or through conferences. You might hear this a lot, but Biola has such a great community, and it's almost surreal to be a part of God's movements at this academic level. There is something to be said about a group of believers coming together to honor God and pursue His will for us together. I don't have to worry like I did in public school about being misunderstood for my faith or taught untrue things. I absolutely love it here.

Campus Involvement

I try to do as much as I can with my floormates. From weekly meetings to retreats to random ice cream runs, it is so great to share in each others' lives. I was a part of a Soul Group last semester and was blessed to not only meet other freshmen girls going through a lot of the same things as me but also to have leaders and role models who offered prayer and encouragement when we needed it most.

Biola University had been my top choice of university for a long time in high school. The reason being is because this university strives to keep Christ first and the center of everything they do through the academics, campus involvement, events and activities, and the list can go on! 1 John 4:10-12. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

Biola is a special place. I don't think I will ever experience a place like Biola after I graduate. I love the fact that the student population is small enough for me to meet people and see them around school but at the same time, big enough to meet new people everyday. People are willing to create an authentic relationship. People are genuine and loving! I love the faculty staff. Dr. Barry Corey is the man! Many of my professors care for their students. Some are really awesome enough to invite their students over to their house for dinner. Biola provides a space for me to challenge my walk with Jesus!
