Lead Students & Build Relationships

Orientation Week is one of the most memorable and important experiences a new student has at Biola University. Friendships that will carry them through school and beyond are often forged in this first week, and the tone is set for their attitude towards their time here. Join SOS, and you can ensure that each of your students begins their time at Biola firmly planted in the community, ready to flourish.

For the 2013-2014 school year, completed applications, pictures, and reference letters are due by midnight on Friday, January 11, 2013.

Applications for the 2014-2015 school year will be available November 2013.

First-Year Applicant

A First-Year Applicant is a student who has not previously served as an SOS or Crew leader.

First-Year Applicants must:

1. Turn in an Application Form.
2. Email a recent photo of yourself to sos.director@biola.edu or drop one off at the secretary's desk in Student Services. (Include your name and ID number with your photo.)
3. Have a Reference Form filled out for you.
4. If applying for Crew Leader you must also fill out the Crew Leader Application Form.
5. Attend either the morning or afternoon Selectrocution session.
6. Complete the interview process.

Returning Applicant

A Returning Applicant is someone who has previously served as an SOS or Crew leader.

Returning Applicants must:

1. Turn in an Application Form.
2. Have a Reference Form filled out for you.
3. If applying for Crew Leader you must also fill out the Crew Leader Application Form.
4. Complete the interview process.
