Catch the Vision
The Long-Term Missions Department (LTM) exists to bring together students who
desire to serve God through long-term missions. We desire to empower and equip
students in their preparation for the mission field, as well as educate the
campus on the purpose of long-term missions.
This will be accomplished primarily by "Kingdom Bands", whereby small groups
of students who have a shared missions focus will meet consistently to pray
for and minister to a respective people group of their choosing, such as, but
not limited to, India, China, North Africa and the indigenous of Latin America.
The foundation of these teams is prayer and the focus is Christ. The
makeup of the Kingdom Bands is not just those who are interested in long-term
missions, but also any who just want to pray for God to intervene among peoples
of the world. The aim of these prayer groups is to function similar to
a long-term team and may even serve to gather students who will go together
in the future.
Sunday evening chapels held monthly will help students better understand what
missions really mean and recapture the Kingdom focus we must have as disciples
of Christ.
