Steps to Apply

Application to all School of Intercultural Studies programs requires the following:

  1. You can apply online.
  2. Send $45 Application fee to Graduate Admissions at Biola (Non-refundable). Make check payable to "Biola University."
  3. Submit three letters of recommendation on forms supplied by the school.

    One reference from each of the following categories must be submitted: pastoral, academic, employer. See application for forms and further details. Download forms (PDF)

  4. Forward official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

    Transcripts must be official. They must be requested from the applicant's previous institution(s) and sent directly from that institution to Biola University. Hand-carried transcripts are not considered official. Please request official transcripts from all institutions where undergraduate and graduate work has been completed.

  5. ** Formal Research Paper (writing sample)
  6. ** Vocational Objectives: A 1-2 page typed statement including your vocational objectives and how the program will prepare you for this vocation. See application for forms and further details.

General Biola Admissions Requirements

Biola University desires only qualified students who are committed to Jesus Christ. However, in the admission of students, Biola does not discriminate on the basis of the applicant's race, color, sex, handicap, or national or ethnic origin.

  • Certificate and MA: August 1
  • Ph.D and D.Miss: April 15

Spring

  • Certificate and MA: January 1
  • Ph.D and D.Miss: October 15

Summer

  • Certificate and MA: May 1

Interterm

  • Certificate and MA: December 1
