As the Dean of the Biola University's School of Intercultural Studies, I invite you to consider going on a unique graduate school journey.

Solid tradition, cutting-edge methodology

We have a century of missions tradition. The School of Intercultural Studies is the place where the tradition continues, with cutting-edge methodology for the next century.

Concerned mentors, experienced scholars

You'll study under people who have written the books and have lived a life of sacrifice and deep commitment. Concerned mentors will guide you in your spiritual and academic development. This is a hands-on life educational experience. Experienced scholars will show you how they collect and analyze data. Your newly acquired skills and tools will enable you to succeed in your chosen profession.

Relevant classes, tailor-made programs

There are 10 emphasis tracks available in our M.A. in Intercultural Studies. Our M.A. in Missions gives students without a B.A. degree the training they need to further their ministries. The Summer Institute of Linguistics makes it possible to specialize or be a generalist as an M.A. in Applied Linguistics student. Our M.A. in TESOL has been called the "Cadillac of the Christian language teaching programs." Choose a Certificate or M.A. degree.

The Ph.D. in Intercultural Education provides solid education, research and theology integration courses and allows for 15 units from across the University curriculum. The Doctor of Missiology (D.Miss.) gives the student a solid framework in missions and social science theory and application and also has room for specialization.

Let your journey begin. Discover the program, the courses and the faculty best suited to your ministry plans.

Yours for the Kingdom,

F. Douglas Pennoyer
