Transferable General Education (G.E.) Courses
This information is provided as a tool to aid students in knowing which courses Biola University will accept from other specific colleges/universities to fulfill Biola's general education requirements. The curriculum transfer information provided does not suggest that Biola University has a formal articulation agreement with the colleges/universities listed. Please note the academic year of this transfer information. If the courses you took were different, contact the Office of the Registrar at Biola for further information.
Transcripts from all institutions must be sent directly from the school to Biola's Office of Admissions or Office of the Registrar to be considered official and for official evaluation.
The downloadable lists of pre-approved transfer courses include information for California community colleges, some California State Universities, a few out-of-state community colleges, and distance education. If classes are on these lists, there is no need for a Substitution Request form to transfer it for G.E. If a specific G.E. class is required for the major, such as a specific math or science class, then you will need a Substitution Request form. Also, any class taken for a major requirement may require a Substitution Request form.
Please contact the Office of the Registrar if you have any questions about transferable courses or if you would like to check a course from a college or university that is not listed above.
