Fall & Spring Semester Programs
- Biola London
- Fall semester at Roehampton University in London. Students experience the British university curriculum first-hand, taking 3 or 4 courses alongside British students and an additional field-trip based course on the History of Christianity in Britain designed for Biola students.
- Creation Care Study Program
- Four-month study abroad program offered in Belize, Central America, and the South Pacific (Samoa and New Zealand.) Trains students to develop and nurture the knowledge, care, and practical competence necessary to be caretakers of creation. Core of each program is classes in theology biology, and sustainable development.
- Development Studies in Honduras
- Spring semester studying development theories as they play out in the third world. Students live with Honduran families and experience life in the third world.
- Focus on the Family Institute
- A semester at Focus on the Family Institute in Colorado Springs. A multidisciplinary program that focuses on topics related to psychology, sociology, family studies, leadership, social ethics, public policy, philosophy and theology.
- International Student Exchange Program
- Semester of exchange study at a Christian university in Korea or Japan (Handong University, Hannam University, Jeon Ju University, Seoul Women's University, or Yonsei University in Korea or Tokyo Christian University in Japan).
Interterm & Summer Programs
- Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies
- Christian environmental stewardship institute. Set in northern Michigan forests, wetlands, lakes, and rivers. Students take courses, gain field experience, and develop practical tools for environmental stewardship.
- Biola Baja
- Three-week interterm field trip to Baja California, Mexico to study natural history of the peninsula. Emphasis on desert ecology, bird and whale migrations and natural resource management.
- Biola Italy
- A customized European Study tour specializing in art history and advanced photography. Study group will visit museums, galleries and historical sites in Rome, Florence, Venice, Pisa, Sienna and Assisi during 20 days in January (interterm). Limited space and fills quickly.
- Biola Sundance
- The leading venue for independent film premieres, the Sundance Film Festival is an immersive plunge into the art and commerce of the entertainment industry. Interterm program in Park City, Utah, during the second week of the Sundance Film Fest. Students attend screenings, discussions, and seminars with the filmmakers.
